libecal1.2-dev software package provides Client library for evolution calendars (development files), you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install libecal1.2-dev
libecal1.2-dev is installed in your system.
Make ensure the libecal1.2-dev package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep libecal1.2-dev *
You will get with libecal1.2-dev package name, version, architecture and description in a table
